Marianna Stepniak
Program and Content Specialist
As Program and Content Specialist, Marianna plays a key role in content development, strategic communications, technical assistance, and event planning. Marianna specializes in culturally responsive issues related to gender and gender identity, Title IX compliance, social and emotional learning, and continuous improvement for equity practices. She has led and co-authored multiple publications from MAEC, including the Title IX Regulations Series and the Managing Mental Wellness toolkit.
Marianna’s background includes a year as a Fulbright English Teaching Assistant in Trondheim, Norway; teaching in a 2nd/3rd grade classroom with City Year Sacramento; and working as Chief of Staff for a gubernatorial campaign in Maryland. Marianna earned her Ed.M in Education Policy & Management from the Harvard Graduate School of Education in 2020, and graduated Summa Cum Laude with her B.A. in English and Gender, Sexuality, and Women’s Studies from the College of William & Mary in 2017.
