MAEC provides high quality technical assistance and professional learning opportunities to state departments of education, districts, and schools to improve educational policies/procedures, instructional practices, student engagement, and family/community engagement to close achievement and opportunity gaps. Our evidence-based approach is informed by 24 years of collaboration with clients to respond to their unique needs and build capacity to improve outcomes for all students.

Technical Assistance

MAEC provides technical assistance to build the capacity of educators, non-profits, and community members to address the complex and unique challenges their school contexts provide in order to improve conditions for learning. MAEC focuses on collaboration, the exchange of ideas, developing policies and action plans, and improving practice to better meet the needs of students and families.

Professional Learning

We offer a slate of professional learning opportunities that increase educators’, families’, and community members’ capacity, knowledge, and skills to improve student outcomes. We partner with leading experts, thought partners, and social entrepreneurs to identify ways to improve teacher-student engagement,  raise rigor, and meet students, teachers, or their families where they are.

Consulting

MAEC offers customized consultation to build the capacity of state departments of education, districts, schools, and communities to develop and implement sustainable and innovative approaches to close achievement and opportunity gaps. MAEC staff has national, regional, and local experience and a network of partnering organizations that informs our comprehensive and collaborative needs assessment, planning, progress monitoring, and evaluation to ensure success for every student.
