Putting the Family Engagement Core Competencies to Use in Your Work

Join us on October 25th at 1 pm (ET) for the next in our series of webinars on the Family Engagement Core Competencies. In our last webinar, we took a deep dive into what it means for family-facing professionals to reflect, connect, collaborate, and lead alongside families. In this webinar, we’ll be hearing from a panel of state, district, and program partners on how they are thinking about and planning to use the Core Competencies in their work. Panelists will discuss how the Family Engagement Core Competencies are helping to incubate new directions in assessment, program planning, professional learning, and credentialing.
Interstate Family Engagement Leadership Collaborative

Beginning in January 2023, CAFE will launch the next phase of our Leadership Collaborative by training three family members from Maryland and three family members from Pennsylvania to serve as Family Leaders on each respective council. Family leaders will serve for a one-year term. Applicants must reside in either Maryland or Pennsylvania to serve as a family leader. Compensation is a $100 quarterly stipend and reimbursement for mileage for in-person meetings or training.
Corner CAFE
Beginning November 14, 2022
Join us at the Corner Cafe, an interstate Community of Practice for MD and PA that brings together practitioners dedicated to bolstering Family Engagement practices in our districts, schools, and communities. We will meet monthly over the course of eight months to tackle challenges educators face around family engagement and to promote best practices and resources. Topics are forthcoming!
