Civil Rights and Advocacy Organizations

Asian Americans Advancing Justice

Asian Pacific Policy and Planning Council

Government Agencies

Federal Agencies:

The Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI): The FBI is the lead investigative agency for criminal violations of federal civil rights statutes. The Bureau works closely with its local, state, tribal, and federal law enforcement partners around the country in many of these cases.  Contact information for FBI Regional Offices is found at:  https://www.fbi.gov/contact-us/field-offices

State Agencies:

Local Agencies:

  • Report hate crimes to your local police department by calling 911.
  • Report acts of discrimination to your local human relations commission (if applicable), located in your city, town or borough offices.  If your local government does not have such a commission, report acts of discrimination to your state human relations commission (see above).
