Remembering Dr. Rita Robinson, a long-serving member of MAEC’s Board of Directors’
MAEC is saddened to announce that Dr. Rita Robinson, a long-serving member of MAEC’s Board of Directors’, has passed away. Dr. Robinson was a beloved member of our board who had an immense passion for social justice. She was a lifetime educational equity specialist and activist for multicultural education in Maryland and was recognized nationally for her efforts. We remember her fondly for her friendship and shared work with MAEC. Dr. Robinson was honored for her equity work and personal contributions in 2018 by being inducted into the Maryland Women’s Hall of Fame. Read more about her life.
