MAEC Stands with the Community of Pittsburgh Against Hate and Violence
“Better to light one candle than curse the darkness.”
-Eleanor Roosevelt
The horrific incident at the Tree of Life Synagogue in Pittsburgh, PA is a sad reminder that hatred towards others – those who are different from us – must be addressed.
No one is born a racist. No one is born with hate in their heart. It should be our role as educators and community members to help children grow up to be compassionate, empathetic adults. School should be safe spaces for learning and achievement for all students regardless of race or religion.
MAEC is available to provide resources and technical support. Please do not hesitate to contact us.
