Strengthening partnerships at Connections
MAEC’s CEFAM and CAFE Statewide Family Engagement Centers recently cohosted Connections, our inaugural virtual event, bringing together educators, practitioners, and families from across the country to strengthen partnerships that support student achievement.
Inspired by MAEC’s publication, Building Leaders: An Educator’s Guide to Family Leadership, the event featured 25+ dynamic sessions. Attendees explored topics like:
👉 Making IEP meetings more effective and inclusive
👉 Using Hip Hop culture to deepen learning
👉 Partnering with public libraries to strengthen family and community ties
We are deeply grateful for the support of scholars, district leaders, educators, and families who made this event a success. Stay tuned – we’ll be sharing key takeaways, resources, and insights in upcoming newsletters!
