Allegra Kogan
Senior Communications Associate
In her role as a Senior Communications Associate, Allegra is the communications liaison for the Collaborative Action for Family Engagement (CAFE) division at MAEC. She oversees MAEC’s social media, managing written copy, graphic images, and analytics. Allegra is also responsible for promoting, editing, and maintaining webinars and podcasts on both the MAEC and CAFE websites, all while actively contributing to the growth of the communications team.
Allegra earned her M.E.d in Educational Leadership from Winthrop University, and her BA in English with a minor in Gender and Sexuality Studies as a QuestBridge Scholar from Davidson College. After her undergraduate studies, Allegra became a middle grades English Language Arts teacher through Teach for America in Charlotte, North Carolina. Allegra believes that every child deserves equitable opportunities for educational and social-emotional growth and strives to ensure that the work she does aligns with this goal.
In her free time, Allegra enjoys spending time with family and friends, working out, and reading historical and science fiction.
