MAEC Responds to the Recent Events at Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School
Dear Friends,
We are saddened and also outraged by the recent school shooting at Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School in Parkland, Florida, where members of the school community were killed and injured. We can only imagine how difficult it must be for students, educators, and their families to comprehend and cope with this traumatic event. We care deeply about all students and the school community and their well-being. Students and educators deserve to be safe in their schools and free from bias, danger, and violence. For this reason, we are sharing the following resources to promote discussion, healing, and action.
