Dr. Smith, founder and principal consultant with DataSmith Solutions, LLC, helps state, regional, and national education organizations improve the development and use of statewide longitudinal data systems. Prior to this, she directed Longitudinal Data Systems Initiatives at the USDOE’s National Center for Education Statistics (NCES), consulted on longitudinal data systems to states, advocacy organizations, and NCES, and was a founding partner and deputy director of the Data Quality Campaign. Dr. Smith is published widely and presents frequently at NCES conferences.
