WORKSHOP FULL – Empowering Dis-connected Youth Through Education: Creating an Opportunity Structure for Future Leaders
This workshop explains how LAYC creates an opportunity structure for dis-connected youth to receive an education that helps create a pathway to community involvement. The structure created is based on Positive Youth Development in connection to Popular Education for out-of-school young adults. The workshop will engage participants to experience how these two frameworks are experienced in the classroom. It will also discuss how the structure created leads to community involvement.
