WORKSHOP FULL – Developing your Critical Consciousness as an Anti-Bias Educator: The How and the Why of Transforming your Classroom
This workshop will demonstrate what it feels like to be instructed from a critically conscious perspective. Participants’ will be asked to shift their perspective from the dominant narrative and consider unrepresented voices when looking at a traditional text. Furthermore, participants will be given examples of the influence of implicit bias in teaching and learning and learn how to use anti-bias techniques to employ critical consciousness in classrooms.
