Ms. Shofar has been with the Washington D.C. Field Office of the Office for Civil Rights (OCR) for the last 16 years. She conducts civil rights investigations under all of the laws enforced by OCR and provides training to the education community on a variety of issues related to civil rights in schools. Formerly, she worked as an attorney in OCR’s National Office developing policy.
