Videographer Production Internship

The Mid-Atlantic Equity Consortium, Inc. (MAEC) is a private, non-profit with over 20 years of success linking educators, families, communities, and students to increase cross-cultural understanding, engagement and social capital to improve student achievement and further school reform. MAEC seeks to promote excellence and equity in education to achieve social justice. Recognizing that educational opportunities are not equal for all, we focus especially on culturally, ethnically and linguistically diverse students, and low-income school communities to ensure equity in education.


MAEC is looking for a college-level student or recent graduate that is detail-oriented and is comfortable prioritizing multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment. The intern will work under the Director of Communications and the Communications Coordinator.

The ideal candidate will have Responsibilities:

  • Supports the Communication Coordinator with creating storyboard of video to market the brand
  • Assist with other communication related tasks as needed
  • Produce a two minute video and other additional explaining what MAEC does. The video will be placed on MAEC’s website and be a good addition to candidate’s portfolio.


This position requires the candidate to:

  • High level of professionalism, flexibility, diplomacy, and strong interpersonal skills
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Experience with using editing software
  • Strong computer and technology skills; proficiency in Microsoft Office (Examples: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Publisher), Google docs, and interest in and ability to learn new platforms
  • Outstanding organizational abilities, good judgment, and strong attention to detail


  • Videography and graphic design experience
  • Bachelor’s degree, preferably in communication or videography and/or related field
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office especially Excel, editing software, Photoshop, Word, and PowerPoint
